DENVER, Colo. - ROOT SPORTS™ announced today its 2014 Colorado Rockies telecast schedule. The network will air 150 Rockies regular season games and six spring training games. Coverage begins with a Cactus League matchup between the Rockies and Cubs from Scottsdale, Ariz., on March 19.
ROOT SPORTS’ regular season coverage begins with the season opener on Monday, March 31, when the Rockies travel to Miami to face the Marlins at 5 p.m. MT. A special one-hour Pregame Show will begin at 4 p.m. MT. The team will open at Coors Field on Friday, April 4, with the Pregame Show starting at 1 p.m. MT.
Additionally, the network will bring back a trio of fan-favorite shows. Rockies Real Time, which gives fans an inside look at players in their everyday lives, will air on Friday nights following the Toyota Postgame Show throughout the season. The first episode premieres on Friday, March 28 and will highlight the Rockies 2014 spring training experience.
Rockies Weekly will air Sundays after the Toyota Postgame Show, beginning on Sunday, April 6. The magazine show recaps the best of the week and provides an exclusive interview with the coaching staff. Double Play also returns, airing immediately prior to each Pregame Show and providing all the highlights from the previous game in just 30 minutes.
